I greatly appreciate your pragmatic and realistic take of the show. I saw a lot of immediate-hyping/celebrating of this show, and I just didn't hear what some of the "first responders" were hearing. It was an entirely fine show - "average good Phish" - but also a *very sloppy* show. They rarely seemed in sync; whether it be in the compositions or the jams. The multiple DWD endings, I am sure, were a blast to see in person but, from the couch, they seemed like a forced, sloppy, (albeit fun) distraction from disjointed jamming/playing. But would any of us rather have been anywhere else tonight? The answer is unequivocally "no." So goes the life of a Phish fan.

Scents and Subtle Sounds was the standalone highlight, but not anywhere near the level of Sphere DWD, Mexico CDT, Alpine Simple, St Louis Tweezer (#persnickety), and it was also great to see Trey lean into the YEM solo a little more than usual -- we have Page to thank for that, as Page would not let Trey subside. Page just kept pushing on the piano and it forced Trey to take his solo higher. Love that confidence from Page. Page and Mike have been the MVPs this tour, and I am 100% here for them!

I bet tonight we get a much stronger, more cohesive show.
